New Life Bible Institute Missionary Training School Beulah Baptist Church 5001-21 Spruce Street Philadelphia PA 19139 History "Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105 New Life Bible Institute Mission Training School has its beginning in September 1978. Held at Beulah Baptist Church in Philadelphia, under the pastorate of Rev. Timothy E. Ruffing, who also serves as President of this Institute. Rev. William Henley serves as Dean. New Life is a three-year Bible School with three classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We also offer classes during the day on Tuesday and Thursday. Our students graduate with a diploma from New Life Bible Institute and a certificate from Evangelical Training Association (ETA). The school began with an enrollment of 98 students and has flourished to date to an enrollment of 288 freshmen on our Main Campus and a total of approximately 400 active students. The enrollment in all campuses is composed of over 450 students. We praise God for graduating approximately 150 students and look forward to a graduating class of 50 students in June of 1996. We are grateful to have four campuses: True Vine Baptist Church, Rev. James Christmas, Pastor; Liberty Baptist Church, Rev. Bruce W. Hook, Pastor; Macedonia Baptist Church, Byron L. Craig, Dean; Beulah Baptist Church, our main campus, Rev. Timothy E. Ruffin, Pastor. New Life covers the north, southwest, and west sections of Philadelphia. We are looking forward to branching out to other areas as the Lord leads. One of the outstanding features of New Life is that it it a non-tuition school. The students need only to purchase required books. We are financially supported by freewill offerings. Our school has been blessed by individuals and various organizations. We are excited over the fact that ten percent of monetary contributions go toward the support of a missionary board of individual missionaries. The Lord has blessed us to be overflowing. All our our Board Members, Faculty, and Staff are serving on a volunteer basis. No one has a paid position. New Life is committed to Matthew 10:8b, "freely ye have received, freely give." Praise the Lord! It is a blessing to see some of our students literally running to school, and watching them grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our faculty consist of Christians who are graduates from Manna Bible Institute, Philadelphia College of Bible, and New Life Bible Missionary Training School. At least fifteen our our students and graduates have heeded the call to missions. They have served in various regions of the world, such as France, Ghana, Haiti, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nigeria, and Nova Scotia. New Life Bible Institute has been a blessing to many, and we are blessed as we minister to the community and to the tri-state area, which consist of Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. |
